What does the Sovereo Index world map show?
The map shades every country by its Sovereo Index score, from red for low to blue for high, with grey for insufficient data. You can recolour it by any single pillar to see where each condition is strongest.

Filled-country choropleth rendered from the Sovereo Index. Hover or tap a country for its score. Pillars are computed from UNDP, the World Bank, WHO, the Yale Environmental Performance Index, the Heritage Foundation, EF and the UCLA Williams Institute, normalised to a common 0 to 100 scale. The Capital and Enterprise layer adds the Chinn-Ito capital-account-openness index and is reported separately from the six-pillar overall. Grey countries lack sufficient public data for a reliable score.
Questions about the Sovereo Index map
What do the colours on the map mean?
Blue means a high score and red means a low score. Grey means there is not enough public data for a reliable score.
Can I see one pillar at a time?
Yes. Use the Colour by menu to switch from the overall Index to any single pillar. The legend updates to show the pillar you chose.
How do I see a country's exact score?
Hover over a country, or tap it on a phone, to see its score. For every pillar side by side, open the full ranking table.
Is the Capital and Enterprise layer part of the overall score?
No. The Capital and Enterprise layer is reported separately from the six-pillar overall. It adds the Chinn-Ito capital-account openness index to show how freely money can move.
